The diagnosis of spondylosis is made on the basis of the medical history, physical examination, and medical device diagnostics.
2nd order laboratory parameters – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, etc. – for differential diagnostic clarification.
- Small blood count
- Differential blood count
- Inflammatory parameters – CRP (C-reactive protein) or ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate).
- Rheumatism diagnostics – CRP or BSG; rheumatoid factor* (RF), CCP-AK (cyclic citrulline peptide antibodies), ANA (antinuclear antibodies).
Notice. A positive rheumatoid factor is found in:
- Zunehemdem age in healthy people up to 20%.
- Rheumatoid arthritis in 70-90 %
- Lupus erythematosus in 10-35 %
- Sjögren’s syndrome 70-95 %
- Mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) 50-60 %
- Chronic liver disease up to 70%
