Stomach-Way-Diet after pregnancy

Many women have the desire to return to their previous weight after pregnancy. Some also manage this in the first year after the birth of their child. Others, however, have difficulties to keep an eye on their body weight besides the new situation, which demands a lot of energy from the woman, and therefore long for a quick way to lose the gained weight again.

This is also reasonable, as otherwise they have an increased risk of suffering from obesity and its secondary diseases later in life. It has been shown that the most effective method of reducing weight after pregnancy is a combination of a moderate energy deficit, physical activity and precise documentation of the food and drink consumed and the physical activity. The abdominal-displacement diet is therefore not the optimal method and could most likely, in a modified form, in combination with physical exercise and an adapted calorie intake, lead to the desired, regulated and lasting weight reduction.

The goal should be an energy deficit of 500 kcal and aerobic exercise 4 times a week. This ensures that women do not suffer from malnutrition and that the baby, if breastfed, also receives enough nutrients through breast milk.
