Summary

The leg is the main organ for the locomotion of the human body and therefore a very important component for coping with everyday life. It consists of numerous structures and starts at the buttocks. It continues through the bony and muscular structures that follow to the toes.

In order to enable walking and standing, all structures, their movements and connections must be perfectly coordinated. In addition to the arteries and nerves, they branch out in the pelvis and run from there down to the toes. In their course they give off numerous branches and thus supply the entire leg.

In the opposite direction, the veins and lymph vessels run from the toes and end in the pelvis, where the blood and lymph fluid from the legs is collected and transported further. – Muscles and
