Summary | LWS Syndrome Exercises

Summary

Exercises for lumbar spine syndrome can have a strengthening, mobilizing or relaxing effect. There is a large selection of exercises that should always be individually adapted to the patient. The term lumbar spine syndrome only describes a certain symptom, but does not provide any information about the cause.

It is therefore important to make an exact diagnosis in order to achieve long-term improvement with a causal therapy/physical therapy. In many cases, an improvement of the symptoms can be achieved by strengthening weak abdominal muscles and mobilizing the lower back. The exact execution of the exercises is extremely important!

If pain occurs during the exercises, the execution must be checked and the therapist must be consulted. In case of acute pain, gentle mobilizations can also help, but the step positioning can also have a soothing effect. If pain occurs over a longer period of time, it should be clarified urgently.
