Symptoms of pathological skin changes
Shingles – usually in the chest area, more rarely in the face, itchy painful blisters caused by activation of dormant chickenpox virus. Skin fungus – mainly in the interdigital spaces between the toes, itchy and scaly skin changes. Itching in old age – the skin itches everywhere, red wheals may appear.
However, itching of the skin can also have many other causes, e.g. diabetes, kidney failure, vitamin deficiency. Actinic keratosis – precursor of white skin cancer caused by UV light. Mostly the bald head, forehead, bridge of nose or ear is affected.

Depending on the skin change, different measures are promising: If skin cancer is underlying, the treatment is the responsibility of the dermatologist!
Pre-cancerous stages such as “actinic keratosis” must be closely monitored.Shingles can usually be successfully treated with virus-inhibiting drugs by your family doctor. Skin fungus is treated with antifungal agents. Age warts can be removed with a sharp spoon by a dermatologist or family doctor.
Skin aging itself is a normal process that cannot be completely stopped even by the most expensive anti-aging products. Botox injections, lasers, hormone preparations, creams containing urea and vitamin A acid peelings are the most common anti-aging products. However, if used in a targeted manner and administered by experienced physicians, they can bring visible benefits. However, daily skin care is and remains most important to maintain the skin’s elasticity and natural barrier.
