It also regulates the production of sebum. The sebum is important for the skin because it has a caring effect. Through the ointment, more vitamin A can be absorbed and the skin is protected by the layer that forms the ointment.
But vitamin A is also found in the tear film. The ointment stabilizes the tear film and thus has a protective effect. In case of dry eyes or other corneal diseases, relief can be provided. Vitamin A also promotes cell regeneration and accelerates the healing process.
