The herb comfrey is particularly suitable for the treatment of the above-mentioned complaints. The herb and roots of the medicinal herb comfrey are excellent anti-inflammatory agents. The blood circulation is promoted, swellings decrease and stimulate bone healing.
Kytta Salbe®, a product from the comfrey root, is today the herbal pain ointment of choice. Kytta Salve® relieves the swelling of blunt injuries, or bruises, sprains and bruises. In chronic joint diseases, such as arthrosis and arthritis (joint inflammation), Kytta Ointment® has a supporting effect in addition to chemical-synthetic agents.
Kytta Ointment® should only be applied externally to intact skin. The medicinal plant comfrey, from whose root extract Kytta Ointment® is made, promotes the healing of wounds and injuries. The ingredient choline inhibits the formation of oedemas and promotes blood circulation. Allantoin promotes cell growth, and thus new tissue. The high-dose comfrey root extract relieves pain, inhibits inflammation and ensures that swelling in the tissue subsides.
Comfrey background
The healing effects of the medicinal plant comfrey were already known in ancient times. Broken bones, bruises and contusions were treated with a comfrey root mash. Hildegard von Bingen healed peritoneal tears with comfrey.
The name comfrey was given to the medicinal plant because of its healing properties. “Waves” means growing together, “leg” means the bones or bones. The healing effect of comfrey is documented in old records. The ancient Romans used to prepare a root pap to treat injured soldiers with broken bones, bruises and contusions.
Side effects and contraindications
Although Kytta Ointment® is a herbal product, allergic reactions cannot be ruled out. People with peanut allergies should avoid the ointment, as peanut oil has been included.
