Therapy | Cardiac arrhythmias Consequences

Therapy

Depending on the form and severity of the disease which is responsible for the cardiac arrhythmia, a therapy is necessary. In many cases, however, no therapy is necessary. Nevertheless, it is advisable to consult a physician who can give the all-clear if necessary in the case of recurring cardiac arrhythmias, which are perceived, for example, as “heart stumbling” or “racing heart”.In the case of severe cardiac dysrhythmia, the underlying disease must be treated if possible.

It may also be necessary to take so-called antiarrhythmic drugs, which are intended to reduce the occurrence of the disorders. In some forms it is also advisable to implant a pacemaker to avoid dangerous consequences of the cardiac arrhythmia. The same applies to the use of blood-thinning medications, which should be taken in the case of atrial fibrillation, for example, in order to prevent serious secondary damage to the disease.
