Therapy | Multiple endocrine neoplasia

Therapy

The therapy of multiple endocrine neoplasia generally consists of surgical removal of the tumor. Hormones can also be used to suppress the individual hormone effects. This can also lead to a reduction in the size of the tumor and make surgery avoidable.

Prognosis

Familial multiple endocrine neoplasia is more treatable and curable than sporadic neoplasia. This is primarily due to the early diagnosis and thus the possibility of early therapy.
