Therapy/treatment | Circulatory disorder of the eye

Therapy/treatment

It is important that the causes such as diabetes and high blood pressure are treated so that there is no occlusion of the vessels or constriction in the first place. With diabetes mellitus, those affected usually have to inject insulin to compensate for the lack of insulin production. In addition, sugar levels must be checked regularly. In the case of high blood pressure, there are appropriate drugs that can be administered to lower the blood pressure.

Here too, regular monitoring in the form of blood pressure measurements is necessary. It is important, however, that those affected change their lifestyle in addition to the medical treatments and adapt accordingly, such as more sport and a healthier and more balanced diet. Drugs can still be administered specifically for circulatory disorders, but if the circulatory disorder in the eye is too far advanced, often only surgery can help.

For circulatory disorders, there are some homeopathic/phytotherapeutic (herbal) remedies that are usually prescribed in addition to other conventional medical treatment. Homeopathic remedies are often used, especially in the early stages. The following remedies are suitable for this purpose: Creosotum (beech wood tar), Secale cornutum (ergot), Espeletia grandiflora, Tabacum (tobacco), Abrotanum (boar rue) and Allium Ursinum.

Abrotanum is mainly used for numbness, tingling and pain caused by damage to the vessels. Cold or wetness usually aggravates the symptoms. Abrotanum is taken in drop form.

Tabacum (tobacco) is mainly used to treat the following symptoms: numbness and tingling in the arms and legs, as well as cold, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and poor circulation. Usually there is a worsening of the symptoms through exercise and heat, and with fresh air and rest there is an improvement. It is taken in drop form.

Espeletia grandiflora is especially effective in cases of angina pectoris attacks and circulatory problems in the legs. Here too, warmth has a symptom-enhancing effect and fresh air and rest improve the symptoms. Secale cornutum (ergot) is available only on prescription.

For example, it is prescribed for symptoms such as poor circulation with burning and numbness, mainly caused by cramps. Secale cornutum is also very well suited for narrowing of the small vessels on fingers and toes. Here, too, warmth and movement give a worsening of the symptoms.

Affected persons usually have a pale pale skin and dark eye rims. Beech wood tar, also available only on prescription, is particularly effective for ulcers that heal poorly, are damp and itch. Here, in contrast to the above-mentioned remedies, the symptoms are intensified by cold and rest.

Allium ursinum is usually given as a preventive measure in case of a disposition for arteriosclerosis or arteriosclerosis. Ammi visnaga is also particularly suitable for arteriosclerosis. Anyone taking homeopathic remedies should also inform their treating physician so that further medication and homeopathic treatment can be coordinated.
