These symptoms indicate the final stage

In the final stage of small bowel cancer, intestinal obstruction usually occurs. This prevents the passage of food. This is manifested by severe colicky abdominal pain, vomiting and flatulence.Further symptoms are an increased accumulation of gas in the intestine immediately before the closure, which can be easily detected in an X-ray image, for example.

Due to the lack of passage of food, bowel movement is also absent and the digested food accumulates in front of the closure point in the intestine. If an intestinal obstruction is suspected, it must be surgically treated as soon as possible, otherwise there is a risk of a life-threatening rupture of the intestine with emptying of the intestinal contents into the abdominal cavity. Within a relatively short time, the latter leads to inflammation of the abdominal cavity (peritonitis) and to blood poisoning (sepsis).
