Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of toxoplasmosis.

Family history

Social history

  • What is your occupation?
  • Do you have contact with cats?

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • Have you noticed symptoms such as fatigue and fever?
  • Have you noticed swelling of the lymph nodes?
  • Have joint discomfort?
  • Do you have muscle pain?
  • Do you have abdominal pain?
  • Do you have skin lesions (blotchy rash with blisters/nodules)?
  • Have you noticed any other symptoms?

Vegetative anamnesis including nutritional anamnesis.

  • Do you consume raw or undercooked meat, especially pork, sheep, goat, game animals and poultry?

Self anamnesis incl. medication anamnesis

  • Pre-existing conditions (infections)
  • Operations
  • Allergies
  • Medication history
