Traumeel® Vet

In addition, Traumeel® is also offered for animals. Different products are available for each animal: Gels, ampoules, tablets. Depending on the product, Traumeel is applied or consumed at different times during the day.

The exact details can be found in the respective package insert. It is often used for horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs and cats. Before using Traumeel®, a veterinary examination should always be performed.

Alcohol – can it be tolerated?

A well-known principle of homeopathy states that the healing effect of homeopathic remedies is influenced and cancelled by generally damaging factors in lifestyle (such as alcohol). For this reason, the consumption of alcohol should be avoided as far as possible during the therapy with Traumeel. However, there are no studies and experience reports available that support an influence of alcohol on the effectiveness of the medicine.

Active ingredient and effect

The homeopathic drug Traumeel® contains a combination of 14 different active ingredients. It contains small amounts of yarrow, wolfsbane, mountain welfare, belladonna, daisy, marigold, purple coneflower, narrow-leaved sunflower, magic shrub, calcareous sulphur liver, St. John’s wort, chamomile, comfrey and Mercurius solubilis cockmanni. Through the combination of these active ingredients it supports the healing of various injuries.

In addition to sprains, dislocations and contusions, bruises can also heal faster. Overstressed tendons, ligaments or muscles can regenerate better. While some ingredients have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects (for example comfrey), other ingredients strengthen the immune system (including coneflower) and others have a positive effect on the healing process (including calendula or chamomile).
