Travel Pharmacy Information

The Germans are still world champions in traveling. But many forget to re-stock their first-aid kit. Consequence: most Germans are only inadequately armed against diseases on vacation. Before you start a trip, you should check your first-aid kit.

Clarify in good time before departure:

  • Are your existing medicines expired?
  • Have you already obtained medications that you need to take regularly in sufficient quantities?
  • Have you inquired whether you need to take special measures for the destination? (eg malaria prevention or certain vaccinations?) Ask your pharmacist!
  • Do you have sunscreen in sufficient quantity? It is calculated for an adult 20 ml of sunscreen per day, for a child 10 ml. A sunburn can spoil your beautiful vacations quite nicely!

Even if medicines are often cheaper in the country of travel, rather get them at home before starting your trip. Before you take unknown drugs that can have dangers and side effects on your health, get timely advice at your pharmacy and refresh your travel pharmacy.
