2nd order laboratory parameters – depending on the results of the history, physical examination and obligatory laboratory parameters – for differential diagnostic clarification.
- Small blood count
- Differential blood count
- Inflammatory parameters – CRP (C-reactive protein) or ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate).
- Urine status (pH, total protein, etc) including urine sediment (erythrocytes, leukocytes, squamous cells, bacteria, cylinders).
- Urine cytology – e.g., in suspected bladder cancer (urinary bladder cancer).
- Urine culture (bacteriology: pathogens and resistance).
- Fluorine diagnostics (determination of cellular, bacterial and parasitic components of the vaginal discharge, which is increasingly formed and excreted during inflammation) and urethral smear (urethral smear) – to exclude microbial or mycotic infections.
