Urinary Transport Disorder, Obstructive Uropathy, Refluxuropathy: Diagnostic Tests

Mandatory medical device diagnostics.

  • Abdominal ultrasonography (ultrasound examination of abdominal organs) including urinary bladder and renal sonography.

Optional medical device diagnostics – depending on the results of the history, physical examination and mandatory laboratory parameters – for differential diagnostic clarification.

  • I.v. pyelogram (synonyms: IVP; i.v. urogram; urogram; i.v. urography; excretory urography; excretory pyelogram; intravenous excretory urogram; radiographic imaging of the urinary organs or urinary drainage system) – for suspected urolithiasis (urinary stone disease).
  • Computed tomography (CT) of the pelvis (pelvic CT) – if malignant (malignant) neoplasm, metastasis (daughter tumor) is suspected.
  • Renal function scintigraphy – to determine the function of the kidneys.
  • Retrograde pyelography – to exclude tumors or urinary stones.
