Uterine Inflammation (Endometritis): Medical History

Medical history (history of illness) is an important component in the diagnosis of endometritis (inflammation of the uterus/muscular layer of the uterus).

Current anamnesis/systemic anamnesis (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • Does bleeding occur between periods? When?
  • Do they have lower abdominal pain (cramping, constant pain, strain-related, digestion-related?).
  • Burning when urinating? Diarrhea? Constipation?
  • Pain and bleeding during or after intercourse?
  • Do they have discharge? Color? Odor (e.g., fishy?), does it increase after intercourse?
  • Intense, frequent sexual intercourse? Special sexual practices?
