Weight Watchers Christmas Menu

Christmas the whole family comes together, there is a lot of talking and laughing – and of course eating. Even those who watch their figure want to treat themselves on these special days. However, many typical Christmas meals are high in fat and calories. Thanks to Weight Watchers, however, a delicious Christmas meal is no longer a problem. After all, a fine meal doesn’t automatically have to mean lots of calories and lots of fat.

With Weight Watchers, enjoying the holidays is easy

To start, you can surprise your guests with beet julienne with pear-mustard confit and goat cheese. The centerpiece of the menu is a pickled fillet of venison with Brussels sprouts, served with spaetzle or ribbon noodles as desired. Finally, a baked apple with vanilla sauce beckons. All in all, the menu with a POINTS value of 14 per person in total is not intended for everyday use, but gives you a lighter pleasure compared to the classic festive cuisine.

Beet julienne with pear and mustard confit and goat cheese.

Serves 6

For the confit:

  • 2 pears (e.g. Williams pear).
  • 1 shallot
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1-2 star anise
  • 2 tsp fresh rosemary
  • 100 ml white wine
  • Salt, pepper
  • 1 kg beet
  • 1 dash red wine vinegar
  • 6 small round goat cheese a 30 g
  • Rosemary to garnish as desired.

POINTS Value: 3 per person

Preparation:

1. quarter, core, peel and finely dice pears. Dice the shallot. Heat oil in a small saucepan. Sauté shallot in it. Add mustard seeds, star anise, rosemary, pears and white wine. Cover and steam pears for about 15 minutes. Then boil down, uncovered, until almost no liquid remains. Remove star anise and mash pears with a fork. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Peel the beet and cut into fine strips. Cook in a little salted water with a dash of vinegar for about 15 minutes. Drain and leave to drain. Arrange beet together with confit and goat cheese. Serve garnished with rosemary if desired. Preparation time: about 40 minutes / Cooking time: about 30 minutes Tip: To peel the beet, it is best to wear disposable gloves or household gloves so that your hands do not become discolored.
