What are calf wrap hooks?
Calf wrap hooks have rather less to do with the calf wraps for fever reduction known to us. They originate from the Middle Ages and were intended to stabilize the calf wraps often worn by men at that time, or to secure their ends. Today they are rarely found. Only as a decoration or accessory are calf wrap hooks found at medieval markets or festivals.
