How harmful is the tinting of eyelashes?
Tinting eyelashes is not harmful if the color is used properly. The proportion of hydrogen peroxide contained in the eyelash tint is around 1%, in contrast hair dyes for bleaching contain a proportion of about 10% hydrogen peroxide. However, when purchasing, you should make sure that the colorants have been dermatologically tested and are subject to the regulations of the EU Cosmetics Regulation.
Eyelash tints can also lead to allergies. Test the color with the first application. Dab some color on a small spot in the crook of your arm and see if the skin itches or turns red.
Can I also tint the lashes with hair color?
Under no circumstances should you use normal hair color for tinting eyelashes.This is far too aggressive and often contains ingredients that can irritate the sensitive mucous membranes of the eye. Hair dyes also lack the necessary equipment such as cotton pads, a developer cream and an eyelash comb for applying the color.
Can the eyebrows be tinted directly?
If you have enough color left after tinting your eyelashes, you can also tint your eyebrows. You should note, however, that the same shade does not fit for the eyebrows. The eyebrow color should be chosen one or two shades darker than the hair color. However, the eyelash color is usually chosen darker (dark brown or black) and does not fit as eyebrow color.
Can eyelashes also be tinted with home remedies?
Many women want to dye their eyelashes themselves, but are deterred by the chemicals contained in colorants. But there is a solution to this problem: make your own eyelash tint solution from household products that everyone has at home. For this purpose, 2 tablespoons of coffee powder, 2 teaspoons of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder are mixed together.
