What is the prognosis?

With conservative treatment with physiotherapy, the prognosis of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is usually very good. If this treatment does not lead to success, the patients are operated on. About 40 to 80% of the operated patients achieve an improvement of the symptoms. This means that some of the patients will have permanent symptoms.
