What materials is an interim denture made of?

The interim prosthesis consists of several components. The hold is achieved by individually bent metal clasps, which are fixed to the healthy teeth. These are attached to pink denture plastic just like the plastic teeth that replace the lost teeth.

The denture plastic is the material PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), which has a high hardness. The denture teeth are also made of a special hardened plastic, which has already been previously cast in tooth form. In principle, there is also the possibility to choose these denture teeth made of ceramic, but since this is a very expensive matter, it should be reserved for exceptional cases.
