What salary can an emergency physician expect?

Since there are hardly any doctors who work exclusively as emergency physicians, it is difficult to judge how much an emergency physician earns. Often anesthetists or intensive care physicians also work as emergency doctors and are then paid according to their salary. It depends on the doctor’s position in the hospital.

A senior physician earns more than a ward physician. The assignments are sometimes remunerated additionally. If you are employed as a pure emergency doctor at a hospital, you are usually paid by the hour.
