When do I have to go to the doctor? | Household remedy against acne

When do I have to go to the doctor?

There are some forms and symptoms of acne for which it is advisable to consult a doctor. These include the appearance of more severe pain, as well as inflammation. If the acne is located in the area of the back or other parts of the body, a doctor should also be consulted. If the affected person cannot treat the acne on his own or only inadequately with household remedies, a visit to a doctor is advisable. The so-called dermatologist, i.e. the specialist for skin diseases, is responsible for this.

Further tips/correct behaviour

An important point that comes up again and again with the topic acne is skin care. It should be avoided to carelessly buy different products. Every skin type is a little different and accordingly people react differently to different skin products.

Therefore you should take your time when choosing the right skin products. In the case of severe acne, for example, a mild pH value of 5 should be observed. The type and frequency of care can also vary.

Furthermore, it should be remembered that many medications as a side effect can also promote the development of acne. For example, the intake of many antibiotics and simultaneous exposure to the sun can cause acne. A controversially discussed topic is the prescription of the pill for women. In the case of severe acne, the pill is, according to orthodox medicine, a way to counteract the skin disease. This is due to the role of hormones in acne. In naturopathy this reasoning is not accepted.
