Since hypnotherapy is mostly performed by psychologists or psychotherapists, you can contact them yourself or go through your family doctor or psychiatrist. The latter can issue a referral in case of a recognized medical indication, such as an anxiety disorder, which in some cases can then lead to the costs being covered by the insurance company. In most cases, however, private coverage of the costs incurred can be expected.
