To find out which sunglasses are right for you, the following things should be considered: The filtering of the light is directly related to the tint of the lenses. The stronger the tint of the lenses, the less light will pass through the sunglasses and thus the eye. There is a grouping of tinting degrees.

In group 1 of the tint levels are lenses that are tinted 20-57%. In group 2 the tint is 57-82%, in group 3 80-92% and in group 4 92-97%. Group 1 tints in sunglasses are mainly used on overcast days.

Lenses in group 2 are usually sufficient for average sunny days. In stronger sunlight and in reflective environments such as the beach or snow, tints from group 3 should be used. Tints that are 80-92% tinted should definitely be worn if you are in regions with very strong sunlight (glaciers, aviation, etc.).

Various materials are integrated into the lenses to filter UV radiation. It is important that the lenses filter out UV radiation below the wavelength of 400 nm, as radiation at shorter wavelengths is particularly dangerous to the eye.
