  • Funnel chest (pectus excavatum) – an inward-pointing sternum; approximately 40 percent of all conditions are familial, and there are often multiple generations of affected individuals

  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which predominantly affects older people who have smoked. COPD is a composite of chronic obstructive bronchitis (inflammation of the bronchi of the lungs) and emphysema (abnormal increase in the air content of the lungs)
  • Pulmonary emphysema – remodeling of lung tissue with abnormal increase in air content in the lungs.
  • Pneumonia (pneumonia)

Blood, blood-forming organs – immune system (D50-D90).

Endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases (E00-E90).

Cardiovascular system (I00-I99)

Infectious and parasitic diseases (A00-B99).

  • Sepsis (blood poisoning)

  • Liver cirrhosis – irreversible damage to the liver leading to gradual connective tissue remodeling of the liver with impairment of liver function.

Musculoskeletal system and connective tissue (M00-M99).

  • Kyphoscoliosis – deviation of the spine to the side.

Symptoms and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings not elsewhere classified (R00-R99)

  • Cardiogenic shock – form of shock caused by weakened pumping action of the heart.
  • Edema caused by hormonal fluctuations in women.

Genitourinary system (kidneys, urinary tract – sex organs) (N00-N99)
