Homeopathy
Firstly, potassium chloratum in the form of globules can be used to treat myogelosis. Arnica, Bryonia or Aesculus globules can also be taken. If the myogelosis is rather caused by cold or draught, the intake of nux vomica is recommended. Potencies in D6 or D12 should be chosen, and it is recommended to take it three times a day.
Prognosis
Myogelosis has a very good prognosis. It is important that the factors that have led to myogelosis are permanently eliminated. Occupational activities involving long periods of sitting should be avoided, and sufficient exercise should be taken.
Regular stretching and extension exercises should be incorporated into everyday life. If you are also overweight, you should try to lose weight. An orthopedist should be consulted and a gait analysis should be performed to check whether there is any additional incorrect loading in the foot and leg area.
Prophylaxis
The most important prophylactic measures are muscle-relaxing exercises, sufficient sport, less monotonous postures (e.g. at work) and a healthy body weight. Overloading, such as lifting heavy loads, can also lead to permanent myogelosis and should be avoided for this reason.
