How can I prevent a new heart attack?
In the prevention of a new heart attack, the first priority is medical consultation and drug treatment. Acute problems with heart work (for example, cardiac rhythm disturbances) must be treated with medication. In order to avoid imminent heart failure, beta-blockers, calcium antagonists or other drugs can be given.
Diuretics (dehydration tablets) also relieve the heart. Furthermore, a change in diet is often helpful. In this case, the Mediterranean cuisine (low-fat meat, vegetable fats, lots of vegetables) is particularly recommended, as well as dishes low in salt.
In doing so, one should pay attention to a diet that positively influences the blood fat values. Physical training can also be helpful. After a heart attack, this should initially be done under strict medical supervision (for example, in a rehabilitation or cardiac sports group).
