Passionflower: Dosage

Passionflower can be taken in the form of teas of the indication sedatives, often in combination with valerian and hops. In addition, passionflower herb is contained in numerous mono- and combination preparations of the group of tranquilizers (sedatives). These are available in the form of dragées, drops and other forms of preparation.

What dose?

The average daily dose is 4-8 g of the drug, unless otherwise prescribed.

Passionflower: preparation as a tea

To prepare a tea from passionflower, 2 g of the finely chopped drug (1 teaspoon is about 2 g) is poured over boiling water and after 5-10 minutes is passed through a tea strainer. 2-3 cups of the tea can be drunk during the day or 1-2 cups before bedtime.

What should be taken into account when using it?

Currently, there are also no known interactions with other medications and contraindications.

The herb should be kept dry and protected from light.
