General measures
- Review of permanent medication because of possible effect on the existing disease: dose reduction or discontinuation of the medication if it is not indispensable or cannot be replaced. For more information, see “Drug therapy“.

Regular checkups
- Regular medical checkups
Psychotherapy
- If necessary, psychotherapy for anxiety disorders as a result of the disease.
