The skin is the largest organ of the human body
Throughout our lives, the skin is exposed to numerous stresses and environmental influences on a daily basis. The skin‘s natural protective mantle does not always manage to withstand these influences.
Sunburns, too many chemicals in shower gels and lotions, the wrong diet – all of these attack our skin. Skin diseases such as neurodermatitis, melanoma – skin cancer – are not uncommon nowadays. Numerous fungi and bacteria lead to unpleasant, often painful changes in the skin. Often the skin is also knowingly damaged, by trends such as piercing, tattoos or branding. But what are the consequences of skin diseases, sunburns and skin beautification for our skin and the body as a whole? What can be done when the skin becomes diseased? Natural changes to the skin also play a major role in our lives. These include the processes of skin aging, such as wrinkling or age spots. Can these natural processes be stopped or even prevented? Why does our skin age in the first place?
The beauty of our skin plays a major role in our self-esteem, well-being and attractiveness. It provides information about how healthy and vital we are and is therefore an important part of our lives.
