Vardenafil therapy (phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor) is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) with medication.

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance sildenafil or vardenafil.
- Taking nitrates or other nitric oxide donors.
- Nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.
- Individuals with severe heart disease
- Severe hepatic insufficiency
- Hypotension (low blood pressure, < 90/50 mmHg).
- Recent myocardial infarction (heart attack) or apoplexy (stroke).
- Diseases of the retina (retina of the eye).
- Severe renal insufficiency (kidney weakness).
- Taking itraconazole, ketoconazole or HIV protease inhibitors.
