Duration of the inflammation on the cheek
The inflammation of the cheek usually subsides completely after one to two weeks. If the signs of inflammation are particularly severe, it can also last longer. Regular rinsing with chlorhexidine can alleviate signs of inflammation, but not with open wounds in the mouth, such as after a wisdom tooth removal.
