Anti-Aging Measures: Avoidance of Environmental Noxious Agents

Environmental medicine deals with the influences of the environment on the body and the development of diseases due to environmental factors that cause illness. The environment is a complex system of natural, but also artificial substances, to which more and more people react with diseases and complaints such as allergies. The environment consists of

  • Water
  • Ground
  • Air
  • Climate
  • Electromagnetic radiation
  • UV radiation
  • Infrared radiation
  • Radioactive radiation – radioactivity
  • Noise

All these environmental factors, often due to human interference with nature, can have a negative impact on our well-being and sometimes lead to disease.

Environmental syndromes

How environmental syndromes develop is still being researched. It is assumed that sensitization occurs with acute high exposure to pollutants or even with long-term exposure to small doses of pollutants. This means that after this sensitization, even the smallest doses are sufficient to trigger symptoms. A similar reaction can also be mediated by the sense of smell.Psychological factors play a major role in environmental syndromes. The following are examples of the following diseases or syndromes:

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).
  • Electromagnetic sensitivity
  • Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS)
  • Mold allergy
  • “Sick Build” Syndrome
