Help with mobbing
Although mobbing is still often a taboo subject in society, there are more and more opportunities to seek help. Since it is very difficult to defend yourself against your tormentors on your own, you should look for allies. That means friends, family, acquaintances, teachers or superiors.
Classmates or staff can also provide support. Otherwise, superiors or teachers can do appropriate educational work and try to talk to the mobbers. Furthermore, there are numerous self-help groups available where you can learn how to deal with bullying and that you are not alone. Likewise it is recommended to look for help and advice in councellors or numerous Internet sides. Naturally also the possibility exists to take up a therapy or a consulting discussion with a psychologist/psychotherapist.
Is there a test for bullying?
Various websites offer the possibility to identify observed behavior as bullying by means of questionnaires. However, there is no proving test, since mobbing can happen in many different ways and such tests can only assess the subjective perspective of the person concerned. If you have friends or colleagues at the place of the mobbing who know the situation and can provide you with objective assessments when filling out such a test, you will get a more meaningful result.
