Hibiscus: Dosage

Hibiscus flowers are usually used only in the form of tea or other beverages. Due to the sour taste and red color, they are often found, for example, in fruit teas but also in soft drinks.

Since there are insufficient clinical data on hibiscus flowers, no approved finished drug with a defined indication currently exists on the market.

Hibiscus: at what dose?

It is not possible to recommend a daily dose.

Hibiscus – preparation as a tea

To make a tea from hibiscus flowers, pour boiling water over 1.5 g of the finely chopped leaves (1 teaspoon is about 2.5 g). After 5-10 minutes, you can then pass it through a tea strainer. The tea can be drunk five to ten times a day.

What should be taken into consideration?

Currently, there are no known side effects or interactions with other remedies or contraindications when using hibiscus flowers.

Hibiscus flowers should be stored in a dry place and protected from light.
