How long do blisters in the mouth last?

The duration depends on the disease. Usual aphtae usually heal completely after a few days, even without therapy. Herpangina heals spontaneously after about 7-10 days.

The same applies to stomatitis aphthosa if it is treated adequately. In the case of oral thrush, the duration of the disease is strongly dependent on the body’s defence system. With a good immune system and proper therapy, the disease heals after a few days. However, if the immune system is significantly reduced in the course of another disease or chemotherapy, very long and persistent courses can be observed.
