- Nasal endoscopy (nasal endoscopy; nasal cavity endoscopy) possibly with biopsy (tissue sampling).
- Sonography (ultrasound examination) of the paranasal sinuses – if sinusitis (sinusitis) is suspected.
- Computed tomography (sectional imaging method (X-ray images from different directions with computer-based evaluation)) of the paranasal sinuses (NNH-CT) – if sinusitis is suspected.
- Rhinomanometry (measurement of nasal flow/air flow through the nose).
