Oily Skin (Seborrhea)

You will recognize the oily skin by:

  • Your skin is shiny, pores are dilated.
  • Your skin is prone to blemishes such as pimples and blackheads
  • The skin texture shows few lines and wrinkles
  • Your hair becomes greasy very quickly

Frequency of oily skin

In the male sex, the amount of sebum increases significantly from 8 to 17 years of age and slightly until 25 years of age, it decreases slightly until 40 years of age and then drops significantly until 60 years of age. After that, it hardly decreases.In the female sex, the amount of sebum also increases significantly from 8 to 17 years of age and slightly until 25 years of age, but then it decreases continuously until old age.
