Ornithosis: Symptoms, Complaints, Signs

The following symptoms and complaints may indicate ornithosis:

  • High fever
  • Chills
  • Conjunctivitis (conjunctivitis)
  • Cephalgia (headache)
  • Myalgia (muscle pain)
  • Exanthema (skin rash), uncharacteristic.
  • Dry irritating cough
  • Chest pain (chest pain)
  • Splenomegaly (enlargement of the spleen)

Progressions without characteristic symptoms are also possible.

In malignant (malignant) changes in the area of the tear ducts should be thought of MALT lymphoma and in connection with ornithosis.
