- Blood count including differential blood count (due tolymphopenia, synonym: lymphocytopenia: describes a decrease in the relative lymphocyte percentage to < 20%, with absolute lymphocyte counts < 1,000/µl. Causes are varied, in burnout the reason is the chronically increased cortisol excretion because of stress.
