Therapeutic measures
Prophylaxis is still the best therapy. Prophylaxis includes good training equipment, proper warm-up, stretching exercises, stretching the muscles and mastery of the equipment used. That is why it is especially important for beginners to get a sensible consultation, including an explanation of the equipment, how to use the equipment, a discussion of the training goals and the creation of an individual therapy and, if necessary, nutrition plan.
If there are already complaints, the training should be reduced or a training break should be taken. It should be critically examined which exercises cause the complaints. Possibly only the exercise has to be adjusted, but if necessary a substitute exercise has to be found.
Temporary NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-rheumatic drugs), in consultation with the doctor, targeted infiltrations and physiotherapeutic and physical therapy are suitable for pain therapy. For the treatment of the frequent attachment tendinoses, they use stretching exercises and friction massages during physiotherapy (physiotherapy). Among the physical therapy measures, heat treatment, and in acute phases also cold treatment are successful, as well as ultrasound therapy, shock wave treatment, and various electricity applications.
Also functional orthoses ( bandages ), tapes or similar can be used in the meantime. However, an early start of stress will destroy any therapy efforts. This is especially true for the frequent insertion tendinoses, whose symptoms tend to become chronic. A physician, preferably an orthopedic surgeon and sports physician, should be consulted for any prolonged symptoms.
