Voltaren Dolo relieves inflammation

This active ingredient is in Voltaren Dolo

Voltaren Dolo contains the active ingredient diclofenac. It is a substance from the group of non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The drug inhibits the effect of special tissue hormones (so-called prostaglandins). These are significantly involved in the development of inflammatory processes, fever and the mediation of pain. Thus, Voltaren Dolo supports the healing process in inflammation and relieves pain.

When is Voltaren Dolo used?

The drug is used to treat mild to moderate-severe pain of the musculoskeletal system. It can also be used for degenerative joint and spinal diseases (arthrosis and spondyloarthrosis) and because of its anti-inflammatory effect Voltaren Dolo also helps with fever.

What are the side effects of Voltaren Dolo?

The side effects of Voltaren Dolo are highly dependent on the dosage and duration of taking the drug, as well as the physical condition of the patient. Symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and gastrointestinal bleeding are very commonly observed.

Occasionally, edema (swelling due to fluid retention) is also observed, especially in patients with high blood pressure or impaired kidney function. For other side effects, please refer to the package leaflet.
