Therapy with homeopathy
People who occasionally notice a cracking in the joints can find a first remedy by taking homeopathic medicines. However, depending on the frequency and severity of the cracking joints, treatment with homeopathy must be spread over a relatively long period of time. In homeopathy, it is assumed that a regular external supply of calcium (for example, calcium carbonium D12 twice a day) can help to relieve the cracking of the joints.
Furthermore, affected patients should additionally take sulfur (e.g. Sulfur D12 once daily) and Ledum (e.g. Ledum D12 once daily). In order to improve the result of the treatment with homeopathic medicines, it is also recommended to take 5 globules of Rhus toxicodendron D30 once a day for at least two weeks. Depending on the needs, this combination of medicines can be taken without hesitation over an adapted period of time. However, if there is no significant improvement in symptoms even after weeks of regular use, a specialist in orthopedics should be consulted and a possible underlying disease should be ruled out.
Summary
All in all, one can say that a spontaneously occurring cracking of joints is harmless as long as it is not associated with pain, but that it should not be provoked to avoid consequential damage.
