Family history
- What is the general health of your relatives?
- Are there any diseases of the tendons, bones/joints that are common in your family?
Social history
- What is your profession?
- Do you work physically hard in your profession?
Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).
- How long has the pain been present?
- When does the pain occur?
- Do you have exertional pain?
- Do you have pain at rest?
- On a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is very mild and 10 is very severe, how severe is the pain?
- Is the area around the Achilles tendon swollen/heated or red?
- Do you feel stiffness in the Achilles tendon after exercise?
- Are there any functional limitations of the affected lower leg/foot?
Vegetative anamnesis incl. nutritional anamnesis.
- What sports do you practice?
- How often do you exercise per week and at what intensity?
- Have you changed your training? (Type, intensity, duration, training ground).
- Have you changed your footwear?
- Do you do stretching exercises regularly?
Self-history
- Pre-existing conditions (diseases of tendons, bones/joints, injuries, metabolic diseases).
- Surgeries (orthopedic, trauma surgery).
