Structure and properties
Cyhalothrin (C23H19ClF3NO3, Mr = 449.9 g/mol) belongs to the pyrethroids. These are synthetically produced, chemically more stable derivatives of the pyrethrins naturally occurring in certain chrysanthemums (, Dalmatian insect flower).
Effects
Cyhalothrin (ATCvet QP53AC06) is insecticidal and acaricidal.
Indications
Cyhalothrin is used in cattle, sheep, and swine against ectoparasites such as flies, horseflies, hair lice, and ticks.
