Duration | Tendinitis in the elbow

Duration

Tendonitis of the elbow can at best be a short, painful warning to the body that something is going wrong. In the worst case, they can become a chronic disease and cannot be treated properly for years. In between, there are endless gradations and just as many periods of time.

The healing of a one-time, slight tendon inflammation can be completed after 10 to 14 days with consistent protection, so that physiotherapeutic exercises can then be started. However, if a patient ignores an inflammation of the tendon in the elbow and does not stop exercising or continues training too quickly, a long chronic course of the disease may begin, making it difficult to control the pain. In order to keep the duration of tendonitis as short as possible, a doctor should be consulted as soon as the first signs are noticed and the joint including the muscles and tendons should be treated conscientiously.
