Fracture herb is now only used in folk medicine as a diuretic. Therapeutic use can not be advocated because the effectiveness is not sufficiently proven.
Application in folk medicine
Folk medicine uses fracture herb as a diuretic (diuretic) for the treatment and prevention of kidney and urinary tract ailments and diseases. For example, the herb is used to treat chronic inflammation of the bladder and urethra, as well as painful urination.
Other applications include the treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases, rheumatism, gout, arthritis, neuritis, and use as a blood purifier.
The Latin name “herniaria” or hernia herb comes from the fact that in the past it was thought that the herb could heal hernias (hernias of the intestines, for example, when occurring in the groin). However, the effectiveness of the drug in these areas has not been scientifically proven.
Hernia herb as a homeopathic
In homeopathy, the fresh, above-ground parts of flowering plants are also used to treat diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract.
