Frequency

The individual frequencies of the various forms of leukemia are listed in the corresponding sections. In general, it should be emphasized that some forms of leukemia occur more frequently in certain age groups. For example, ALL (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia) occurs mainly in childhood, while it is a rarity in adults.

CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia), on the other hand, is extremely rare in children and occurs mainly in older (over 60 years of age) patients. AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) is the most common leukemia in adults and also occurs relatively frequently in children (after ALL, the second most common childhood leukemia).
